Abel Flagpoles at Wyndham Park Community Centre

Three new Abel flag poles were erected at Wyndham Park Community Centre this month. The Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Australian flags were raised by staff and volunteers during Cultural Diversity Week. With help from Wyndham City Council and the Harpley Reconciliation Grants program, this fantastic addition to the Community Centre was made possible.

Wyndham Park Community Centre is a centre is for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.  WPCC provides individuals and groups opportunities to build social connections, participate in learning, develop employment pathways, address social disadvantage and improve their wellbeing.

WPCC is also a hub of community services.  Located within the Centre are Wyndham Park Kindergarten (Heathdale Kindergarten), Wyndham Little Buddies Toy Library and the Maternal & Child Health Service.  There is also a Community Shed (Workshop) at the rear, often referred to as Werribee Men’s Shed.

Abel is proud to be part of this wonderful community centre upgrade right in time for Cultural Diversity Week.
